A pink pig with a yellow tuft of hair walks through a dark forest path. A dark silhouette with wings screeches from the branch of a tree. The pig falls back to the ground. Wump! It’s a woodpecker. It swings down from the branch with a sign that reads “Happy Halloween!” The pig lays on the ground with bats flapping around its head.

The Pumpkin seeds say Pepita has an idea for a group costume. The Pinoli brothers want to hear it. They love the idea. They are all standing behind a long piece of paper with a piece of music written on it. Each note has a cut out hole that one of the nuts is peeking out of.

The Light Inside by Dan Misdea

A kid with a pumpkin head stands on a hill searching for something. They turn and have an exclamation point over their head. On a hill in the close distance is a black cat with a stuffed purple mouse in its mouth. The pumpkin head shouts for the stuffed mouse. The cat hops away down the hill and the pumpkin head kid runs after it.

Mark & Zark by Dan Moynihan

The science teacher asks Zark to sit down next to Mark. The classroom settles down. The room becomes blue and there is a spotlight on Mark and Zark who look surprised. The teacher says since they are both here maybe they can talk about their science project. At the same time Mark says, No!” and Zark says, “Yes!”

Belanie the kid witch and Peter Cadaver the green frankenstein monster kid are in the school hallway. Peter is dressed up as a human with pink paint covering his green stitched face. Belanie is in a unicorn suit. The caption says, “ Peter continues to cosplay being human.” A mean witch kid with blonde hair walks by dressed up as a native american like Pocahantas. She tells Peter she thinks his costume is offensive and calls him a brain-eater. Peter says he doesn’t care because it doesn’t offend him. Belanie says she is disappointed in him for saying that. Belanie thinks for a moment and realizes something. Then Belanie laughs and tells Peter he is really good at this. Peter replies still in character, “Indeed. Now let me tell you about bitcoin.”

A brown bear and a skunk are standing in a river. The bear asks the skunk how they should catch the crawdads. The skunk says they need to make crawdad sounds to attract them. The Bear says, “Eee Eee Eee!” The skunk says that it should be higher. The bear says, “EEE EEE EEE!” A man fishing down the river tells them to quiet down because they are scaring away the crawdads. The skunk starts laughing.

Norma and Belly by Mika Song

Gramps the old squirrel is dressed in a black cape and wearing fangs. He sees Norma with a spider on her stomach and a mask on her face and says, “Spider Squirrel!” He sees Belly in a gold headband and a skirt with a gold belt and says, “Wonder Belly!” They all turn to look at Little Bee, the young squirrel who is standing on a box that says “”lil B” and is wearing a green toga and a headband with rays. They don’t know what she is. Little Bee says, “The Statue of Little Bee.”

Thanks to Kevin for the idea of the Statue of Little Bee. Is Norma wearing a real spider?
