Despite working in the treasure-rich caverns, L D G didn’t care for artifacts or gold, jewels or crowns made of metal so cold. She could pass by piles of these with ease. What really made her scramble and say please was a good smelly cheese, especially if it was good and old! With piles and piles of different flavors and shapes stacked high, L D G can’t help but profess her love for the treat, exclaiming, “The stinkier the better!”

Mark turned and ran away, with all of the aliens running after him. “You’re an alien like us now!” Zark exclaimed. Mark yelled, “NO!”, but it was at this moment that he stepped off of the gold path and fell through space! Mark gasped as he woke up. He had fallen from his bed in his sleep. Relieved, he said: “What a terrible dream! For a minute I thought an alien really did crash into me last night.” However, what he didn’t notice was that Zark was peering through the window and listening to him talk to himself. Zark thought to himself: “Should I give him a minute before I say good morning?”

Ava, a nine-year-old from Greenfield, Wisconsin, knew that the kids in her community needed things to do in the summer. So, she created her own Virtual Summer Camp! Every week, Ava sent out an email full of fun activities for her virtual campers to do. They did so many fun things, like ice cream in a bag, playing online games, doing art projects, and having a book club! In the fall, Ava plans to launch another club to help kids practice mindfulness.

Reggie, a kid penguin dressed in overalls, is incredibly mad that his plastic action figure broke. He puts both his flippers into the air, shaking them and yelling “Why are big kid toys so cheap?!” He looks to the side, away from the mess of his broken plastic toy and sees a brown stuffed animal. He walks over the stuffed animal and cuddles it, feeling comfort in the soft toy. Suddenly, Reggie realized he was playing with a toy meant for babies. He gets mad and screams “I’m NOT a baby!”

Long Tail Kitty, an orange cat with a brown stripe on his belly, is standing on a purple platform next to a big magician’s hat. He bows as his three blue and green animal friends clap. “Thank you, thank you!” he says. Long Tail Kitty stands back up and looks at his belly, surprised. He sees that his brown stripe has fallen off with a “foomp” sound. Long Tail Kitty gasps. His animal friends say, “oh!” Long Tail Kitty quickly pulls his stripe back on his belly. He curtseys for his animal friends, and they all clap again. One says, “bravo!”
